Pumphouse Point Accommodation Retreat

Pumphouse Point, a world-renowned location in the remote Tassie wilderness, is a stunning destination as it is, let alone with two high-end accommodation units built by Tasbuilt Commercial. NRMA Parks & Resorts recognised the potential for two accommodation units on the edge of Lake St Claire, where Pumphouse Point is located. 

Choosing Tasbuilt Commercial as the ideal team to build and complete the units, it was a pivotal project and one that was truly fascinating to watch come to life, and now make a difference to the Tasbuilt tourism landscape, especially in idyllic locations like Pumphouse Point.

With both units being a copy of each other, they’ve been placed a short distance away from each other, but both still get a glimpse of the iconic Pumphouse Point restaurant positioned at the end of the meters-long jetty over Lake St Claire. The units have being clad in timber cladding around majority of the buildings, with the front of the buildings feature large panes of glass for an interrupted view of Lake St Claire and the surrounding bush. For an added feature, the glass continues around the corner to create a true sense of luxury. 

As you enter the front door, a convenient and compact ‘mud room’ allows you to leave your muddy boots behind before you make your way into the open plan retreat. At the front of the units is the living room and kitchenette. With the stylish kitchenette, small fire pit, comfy seating options, and a skylight, it’s the ultimate place to unwind in. Semi-connected to the rest of the unit is the bedroom and ensuite. The bedroom flows on from the kitchen area, all featuring timber cladding on the ceiling and walls. With the bed anchored against a free-standing wall, either sides of the wall lead around to a spacious ensuite behind.

The ensuite has plenty of features to love about it…skylight above the vanity, freestanding bathtub, corner glass features with exterior features, mirror wall, and stunning vanities.
